The shoes rock and other things

I just saw this site that has the most awesome shoe department ever! It's over at http://www.stylefind.com/. BzzAgent.com just told me about it, so I went to see what the buzz was about. I have been going through the items they have to sell, and got lost in the shoes! They have all kinds of clothes, handbags, and accessories, too. If you're looking to update your spring wardrobe, you should head on over to http://www.stylefind.com/ and start shopping!

Shopping, Savings, and Stockpiling

I went shopping yesterday and saved more money by stockpiling and matching coupons to the sales.
My first stop was Walgreens. I never buy things for just me and I happen to LOVE Olay products. I had 3 coupons where I could buy an item and get another item free, so I used those. I bought 2 Olay body washes, and got 2 moisturizers free. I had another for buying a body soap and get a deodorant free, so I used that one, too. Soup was on sale, so I bought 4 cans and used coupons for those items, as well. In the end I spent $17.05 and saved$25.43 AND got  RR for $3 off my next purchase. That was fun!
Then, I moved on to Safeway. I didn’t buy much here, but I usually don’t because there usually isn’t much for a good price. I bought 2 boxes of Special K Oats and Honey and 2 boxes of Saltine crackers and spent $3.98 and saved $10.38.
My last stop was King Soopers. It was my biggest trip, but my least savings. Bummer. They had a deal going where if you buy 10 participating items, you get $3 off now, and $3 off your next purchase. I spent$116.50 and saved $43.29 AND I got $15 off my next purchase. It wasn’t my best trip, but it was still good. I stocked up on quite a few items. I needed to fill up my freezer so I took advantage of the deals on frozen pizzas. I stocked up on Manwich, as well.
I am so glad I learned how to pair sales with coupons. It saves so much more money than it would otherwise.

Today in my mailbox

It was fun to check my mail today. I got some really cool freebies in the mail and got one good deal online.
In the mail, I got a pack of Stride gum,a sample of Covergirl new natureluxe silk foundation and two coupons for$1/1 and $3/2 natureluxe products, and a coupon for a freeNice ’n Easy Color Blend Foam hair color (value- $13.99).
Plus, because I’m a member of the http://pssst.generalmills.com/, I got to print a coupon to try the new Pillsbury Sweet Moments Refrigerated Desserts for $1.10 off! Awesomess!
You can join, too, and get these in YOUR mailbox, as well. The Stride gum, Covergirl, and hair color all came from ‘liking’ those products on Facebook and following their posts on my wall.
I love these kind of days when I can get great products to try for free!

And the survey says

I have been working on surveys all day. I am a member of several survey sites, and they are all great. If you would like to check them out, here they are:
www.toluna.com

http://mindfieldonline.com/referral/6c727773

http://OpinionOutpost.com/join/9155404
www.mysurvey.com (not accepting new members right now)
www.surveysavvy.com
www.shespeaks.com
They all send survey opportunities fairly often.
I am also a member of
http://www.inboxdollars.com/?r=ref6215471 where I am paid to read email. They send emails all the time so earning money is easy through them. It isn’t much for each one, but they send plenty of emails (just a few a day) and over a short time, it adds up.
I have been using these companies since 2009 and they are all legitimate sites. Why don’t you see for yourself? Enjoy!

Using your resources

I’m sure my kids are tired of hearing it, but my motto is ‘use your resources’. I have a lot of resources that I use to save money. My latest great find was from www.freecycle.org. I was able to pick up an upright freezer for stockpiling groceries from my local freecycle group. Now, I will be able to use another of my favorite resources (www.onceamonthmom.com) to try my hand at freezer cooking. I have been wanting to try it for so long, but just never had the room to do it. My home is still very small, but I have a nice big freezer, now. If you have never visited or heard of OAMM, you should go there now and see all of the wonderful recipes and menus she has put together to keep your freezer stocked up to make meals so much easier.
I can’t wait to freezer cook. I probably won’t do the whole menu because there are some things my family just will not eat, but there are a lot of wonderful recipes that I think my family will really enjoy. I’m looking forward to following the instructions for the half-size menu (meals for 4) that she has conveniently put together to follow. I’ll let you know how it turns out when I jump in and do it.
